No matter how old you are, you can make a difference.
No matter who you are, you can make a difference.
No matter where you are, you can make a difference.
No matter how you feel, you can make a difference.
The difference you make, is up to you!
Social media has made it easy for many people to make a difference in lives. Whether you send someone a smiley face, LIKE their photo, or send them cheerful thoughts — your keystrokes have the power the to build others up as quickly as they can break people down.
What I love is when I see communities and schools coming together to make a difference.
I think the first experience we all saw nationally was the @WestHighBros who set out to make someone’s day a little bit brighter and before we knew it, it went viral as we all soon realized that a Tweet of kindness goes a long way!
Recently I discover a group of students, teachers and adults that decided to create a wave of change after someone created a fake Facebook page on a teacher. They decided to combat this cruelty with kindness, by creating a campaign of “Delete Negativity Online” with the #iCANHELP hashtag.
Their Twitter handle reads:
#icanhelp delete negativity campaign. Be apart of a group of students and adults working to significantly reduce negativity.
On Thursday’s when most people have #TT for Throwback Thursday, @icanhelp_ has “Tag Someone Thursday! How many people can we make feel loved today!”
Don’t miss them on Facebook!
When they launched their video it was nothing short of inspiring! I hope you will watch it and pass it on.
